Frequently Asked Questions
Who can do it?
Tree Adventures is suitable for anyone looking for highflying fun, as long as they meet the minimum height requirement.
| Course | Minimum height |
| 1 1-4 5-8 |
1.1m 1.2m 1.4m |
A participating adult must supervise anyone under the age of 18 years. One adult can supervise up to 8 under 18 year olds. A participating adult must accompany small children (under 1.2m) doing course one.
Is it safe?
Yes, very safe, as long as you stick to the park rules.
However, Tree Adventures aerial courses are physically demanding at times and therefore there is a potential risk of injury when undertaking such activities.
All participants must undertake a safety briefing with an instructor before they begin. This establishes the correct safety methods and gives you the opportunity to practise before you make your way onto the courses. Participants are responsible for keeping themselves attached to the safety system at all times. Instructors also supervise from the ground and are on hand to assist whenever necessary.
What should I wear?
We recommend that you wear casual clothing that you don’t mind getting a little grubby. No jandals or slip off shoes are allowed. Midriffs (especially for the girls) shouldn’t be bare as the harness may chaffe. Long hair needs to be tied back. Dress for the weather.
Do I need to book?
Bookings are always advised to avoid disappointment, especially during weekends, as they are our busiest times. If you wish to visit the park during weekdays then bookings are essential. A minimum group size of 5 people is also required when booking during weekdays.
What happens in bad weather?
Tree Adventures is an excellent wet weather activity but is even better when it’s dry. The Woodhill forest is sand based, which means it’s mud free when it rains. The park is open in all weather conditions except when extreme rain, wind or lightning causes operation to become unsafe. A light waterproof jacket is advised when it’s raining, however the forest canopy provides fairly good shelter from light-moderate rain.
Do I need to be fit?
Well you don’t need to be Tarzan to give Tree Adventures a go, however a degree of fitness and strength is required to negotiate some of the activities. If you have any doubts as to whether you are fit enough to participate, come on out to Woodhill and check out the courses before you book.
