Staff Spotlight – Adam
Ever had a question for one of our staff members you were too afraid to ask?
We’re back with another instalment of Tree Adventures Staff Spotlights, so you can get to know us a little better – one legend at a time.
This time we’re talking to Adam, our Communications Manager!
Name: Adam
Role: Communications Manager/Gig Lover
Favourite Activity: Course 10 surfboard. I love cruising through the canopy during our daily course inspections
Favourite local hangout: Beer Spot! Awesome staff, better beer, and a mouthwatering rotation of food trucks make it a great place to visit after a busy week at work – https://thebeerspot.co.nz/#huapai
Favourite thing to do in NZ (besides Tree Adventures): Snowboarding! We don’t have the greatest snow in the world but there are sick hills all over the country and road tripping around the south island is an amazing way to see some of the best NZ has to offer
What’s on your bucket list?: I’ve got a trip around Southeast Asia coming up that I’m pumped for, otherwise I’d love to hike the entire Pacific Crest Trail in the western United States in one go if I ever have the time and money
What unique skill do you have?: I can quickly recite the alphabet backwards, and I know all the words to ‘One Week’ by The Barenaked Ladies. Yes, I am old
What weird fact might people not know about you?: I’ve hiked the entire Camino del Norte solo from France to the west coast of Spain
Best Advice you ever received: “Make sure you get the chicken kebab” – Some Australian guy in Spain. To this day, the best chicken kebab I’ve ever had
What is the first thing you would do or buy if you won the lottery?: There’s a bunch of bands I’d want to see overseas. Then I’d probably just buy an ungodly amount of snowboards and ride them til my legs fell off
What job would you like to do for a day?: Stand up comic. I think I could get a couple of chuckles out of the audience before I was inevitably booed off stage
