Staff Spotlight – Megg
Ever had a question for one of our staff members you were too afraid to ask?
We’re back with another instalment of Tree Adventures Staff Spotlights, so you can get to know us a little better – one legend at a time
This time we’re talking to Megg, another member of our amazing Rescue Team
Name: Megg
Role: Rescue Instructor/Intrepid Explorer
Favourite Activity: Course 9 Sloth Rope, because you feel like a real monkey
Favourite local hangout: Beerfoot brewery, such a cute place with a great atmosphere – https://www.beerfootbrewery.co.nz/
Favourite thing to do in NZ (besides Tree Adventures): Go hiking! Anything from coastal tracks to alpine tramps. The Liverpool Hut in Mount Aspiring national park has been my favourite so far
What’s on your bucket list?: I’d love to go skiing in Japan, travel in Southeast Asia and go rock climbing in Europe
What unique skill do you have?: I picked up crocheting during lockdown and have made several tops and sweaters for me and my friends
What weird fact might people not know about you?: I played the piano for 13 years but only ever for fun. A piece called Chocolate Carpark was my favourite to play
Best Advice you ever received: Live everyday like it was on purpose
What is the first thing you would do or buy if you won the lottery?: I would buy a van and convert it into a camper, something I have wanted to do for a very long time
What job would you like to do for a day?: I’d love to try being an arborist, climbing and pruning the trees looks like a fun challenge
